What did I just do?

WHAT DID I JUST DO????

I troll and I troll SERIOUSLY

I was about to write a short fic to accompany this picture, but this is horrid enough as-is, so I’ll spare you the pain.

Bad ending of the quack Oda route. The ninjas think you have betrayed them and cut their ties with you. They don’t kill you out of respect for your ancestor, but they basically hate you now. The castle is burned down and you and Oda die together in the fire, just like in real life. Well, not exactly because in real life Oda kills himself and stuff, but whatever. Ninja Love universe is already so full of nonsense that my nonsense is totally allowed.

In the Normal End, which I did not draw and don't intend to, you manage to arrange an escape. You and Oda run away from the battle and kinda disappear from existence. Everyone assumes you both died in the fire, Hideyoshi squashed Akechi and becomes ruler of Japan. You live somewhere out there in peace (?), away from all the politics and power struggle.

In the Best/Happy End, which I also will not draw unless I have been overcome by insanity, you reconcile Oda and the ninjas with the help of Tokugawa. You become a concubine or something, since Oda cannot get rid of Nou-hime because politics. Happy ever after. Later, Oda appoints Hideyoshi as his successor because all his sons suck and then dies in peace. Because I just HAD to rejoin this with history, okay? Hideyoshi had to succeed Nobunaga no matter what or else history’s gonna be screwed up.

Bad self. Bad. Nope. NOPE. I’M DONE TROLLING. I can’t stand drawing Solmare’s style. GAAAAAAAAAAAHHH. I’m done with Solmare’s art. DONE. No more of this!

I sort of creeped myself out drawing this. Even though you can hardly see Heroine’s face, what. This is sort of the time when I’m glad Solmare is so horrible about showing Heroine’s face. I have less to draw, yay!

OMG you're actually interested??? I thought I was being seriously weird when I made this as a joke... Thanks for the support!

The reason why I made this joke was because 1) I don't like over-demonizing of Nobunaga (seriously, he's cruel, but he's just being a sensible ruler) and 2) His sprite!!! Nobody wanders around half-naked in an otome game unless they're the love interest!!!!

It kinda makes me wonder if Solmare actually had a Nobunaga route that they never ported to English because it might be creepy to Western viewers? I mean, good gracious, in Nise no Chigiri one of the love interests is a 50+ year old grandpa and that is TOTALLY FINE in Japan. Americans would most likely freak out and scream "HELP!! PEDOPHILE!!"

I'm going to research first by watching some playthroughs so I know how the world of Ninja Love works first, then see if I can do something. Seriously, I don't think I can hold a story for that long. Too stressful. Plus, I don't have the ninja sprites

No, no, I actually really love your descriptions! They're funny and interesting to read n___n

And while I can't say much about the first point (although I completely believe you), the second point is exactly my point too! If they bothered to bishi-fy him then why the hell not make him a route? And I don't think he had a route in the Japanese version either, but yes, age shouldn't be a problem for the Japanese, almost every game has an ossan nowadays.

And you were really considering it? It would seem like a lot of work, in that case I'd rather encourage you to create an original story or something, haha, more otome games are always good! And no, no, I'm excited that you're taking the time to reply (x You seem like a really cool person!

I'm not that popular

I rarely get comments, so I always have time to reply.

Haha, I was honestly going to write it out, if not as a game then as a fanfic. But then I decided not to until I've seen at least one full official route just so I can see what is the situation actually like. My vision of the story is just based off the prologue (which tells me nothing), reviews (not much info there), random screenshots (which means nothing out-of-context), and real history (which the game has decided to completely ruin).

I mentioned in the description I was about to write an accompanying drabble, right? Yeah, everything came out wrong, it's awkward, so I just tossed it and posted the picture as-is. Maybe if the muses come, I will write that short piece just to give myself closure, but no promises no nothing.

As for my own story, I do have my own stories I'm working on. But for some reason fanfics and fanart are way more alluring... They call to me... *ominous music*

I kid. I like to be over-the-top sometimes.
