Happy Chinese New Year 2013~

It’s the year of the Black Water Snake, so… um, have a black and white picture of Rashnu with a black water snake?

Because “Aveyond fanart” is, like, my default art mode. It’s like auto-pilot. I am so pathetic.

I originally wanted to draw Nanghaithya, but naaah, Rashnu is more like a snake than Nanghay. He’s deadlier, scarier, and more… “smooth”. Nanghaithya is straight out a mix of “derp” and a creep, and that totally doesn’t suit the image of a snake. That’s more like an octopus. A poisonous octopus.

I don't know why that amuses me so XD I'd never thought to associate Rashnu (anyone's incarnation thereof) with a snake...but now that you say it, I definitely see it xD

Eh, there's probably more fitting characters out there if I cared enough, but I can draw AV characters in like 15 minutes and still make them look good, so I just forced the association.

When it came down to it, like I said, the choice is between Nanghay or Rashnu, and Nanghaithya is... too slimy to be a snake

Also, octopus because anything soft, squishy, and with tentacles both looks ridiculous and gives people heebie jeebies.
